Annika is the convenor of three postgraduate modules in international criminal law: International Criminal Law: Institutions (LAWM060); International Criminal Law: Crimes and Criminal Responsibility (LAWM061); and International Criminal Law in Practice: The Hague Trip (LAWM703). She will also be giving lectures on the undergraduate Public International Law module (LAW2024/3024).

Prior to her appointment at the University of Exeter, Annika taught public law and international criminal law at the University of Nottingham. She holds a first class degree in Law (LLB) and an LLM in International Criminal Justice and Armed Conflict with distinction, both from the University of Nottingham. She completed her doctoral thesis, which looks at the use of judicial decisions in international criminal law, at the same institution. In 2012, she was awarded the University of Nottingham Endowed Postgraduate Award for her doctoral research. Annika’s research interests include international criminal law, humanitarian law, human rights and public international law.
