Jessup International Law Moot 2013 – Exeter team reach semi-finals!

The Jessup competition is the largest and most prestigious public international law moot, with teams from over 550 law schools in more than 80 countries competing.

The Philip C Jessup International Law Moot UK national rounds were held from 15 to 17 February 2013 in Gray’s Inn, London.

The University of Exeter team (Emma Cross, Christopher Fotheringham, Charlotte Kelly, Natalie Lucas and Richard Mahal) reached the semi-finals of the UK rounds of the competition, but lost to Oxford in the semi-final knock-out moot, in a closely fought battle. The team was ranked in the top 4 in the UK, along with Oxford, Cambridge and LSE. Oxford and Cambridge will represent the UK in the International Rounds in Washington DC.

This year’s results follow on the success of teams in previous years – Exeter reached the semi-finals in 2011, and the quarter-finals in 2012 in the UK national rounds.

Date: 19 February 2013
